Clear assembly instructions
Step 1. Prepare the required materials - Acrylic: Choose acrylic colours for the front of the clock and the twelve cats, and use a protective film if necessary. (I decided to use MDF for the background to help keep the twelve cats in place.) - Clock mechanism: Purchase the appropriate clock mechanism and hand colour. Ensure your clock mechanism has a sufficiently long shaft to allow the shaft to pass through the material. Step 2. Download and open the design file - download the project design file from the source link listed on the project page. - Unzip the file to access the SVG. - Load the SVG into your laser cutting software. Step 3. Configure the cutter for this project - Adjust the design size to fit your chosen material dimensions. - Ensure the middle hole is sufficiently large to fit the clock mechanism. - Set the appropriate laser parameters: - Cut: Specify power and speed for clean cuts. - Refer to your laser cutter’s guidelines for material-specific settings. Step 4. Laser cut all design layers - Place your chosen material onto the laser bed surface. - Run the cutting process. Step 5. Clean and finish the cut pieces - For Acrylic: Remove any protective film from the materials after cutting. Step 6. Complete the assembly process - Align the layers carefully to ensure proper alignment of the design. - Use appropriate adhesives: - A glue that is suitable for joining acrylic and MDF. - Use clamps to secure the layers while the adhesive dries. - Attach the clock mechanism and hands. Step 7. Attach mounting hardware - Attach a hook to the wall and hang the clock. All steps are finished — you’ve completed Feline Time: Purrfect Colour Cat Clock!
