Introduction
In this post, we help you create the Purr-fect Love: Cat Silhouette Wall Art Laser Cutting Project.
This unique “LOVE” wall art spells out “LOVE” using playful cat silhouettes for each letter, perfect for cat lovers looking to add a touch of whimsy to their decor. Laser-cut from black material, each letter incorporates a different cat pose, creating a fun and modern design.

The project uses acrylic or MDF .
It is an an easy project, and I estimate the project can be completed in 1.25 hours for acrylic and 1.75 hours for MDF. However, your completion time will depend on the laser cutter, the dimensions of the project and your skill level. Instructions
1. Prepare the Materials - Looks better in black.
- Acrylic: Choose the acrylic colour and use a protective film if required.
- MDF: Prepare MDF by painting it with a white undercoat and selecting a paint colour to finish after the laser cutting.
2. Prepare the Design File
- Download the design file from the source link provided on the project page.
- Unzip the file to access the SVG.
- Load the SVG into your laser cutting software.
3. Set Up the Laser Cutter
- Adjust the design size to fit your chosen material dimensions.
- Set the appropriate laser parameters:
- Cut: Specify power and speed for clean cuts.
- For the material-specific settings, refer to your laser cutter’s guidelines.
4. Use the Laser Cutter
- Place your material on the laser bed.
- Run the cutting process.
5. Following Laser Cutting
- For MDF: Wipe smoke marks away with a slightly damp rag. Paint the layers with your chosen colours. Spray paint is preferable to canned paint.
- For Acrylic: Remove any protective film from the material after cutting.
6. Prepare for Wall Mounting
- Attach a hanging mechanism, such as adhesive strips, to the back of the artwork.
- Verify that the mechanism is suitable for the wall surface.
