Introduction
In this post, we help you create the The Last Supper Laser Cutting Project.
Using a laser cutter, create a detailed replica of the Last Supper. Design the intricate scene, cut the layers from wood, and assemble them to achieve a 3D effect. This project merges art and craftsmanship, allowing you to produce a stunning piece that honours this iconic moment in history.
The The Last Supper laser cutting project is a wall artwork.
Suitable as a gift for adults.
The project uses plywood.
It is an an intermediate project, and I estimate the project can be completed in 4 hours. However, your completion time will depend on the laser cutter, the dimensions of the project and your skill level. If you think my time estimates need adjustment, please feel free to let me know via a comment below.

Instructions
1. Prepare the Materials - Plywood: Choose stains or dyes to be applied after laser cutting to enhance the natural wood texture. 2. Prepare the Design File - Download the design file from the source link provided on the project page. - Unzip the file to access the SVG. - Load the SVG into your laser cutting software. 3. Set Up the Laser Cutter - Adjust the design size to fit your chosen material dimensions. - Set the appropriate laser parameters: - Cut: Specify power and speed for clean cuts and sufficient power for engraving to ensure it can be seen after applying dye or stain. - For the material-specific settings, refer to your laser cutter’s guidelines. 4. Use the Laser Cutter - Place your material on the laser bed. - Run the cutting and engraving process for all required layers. - Ensure that the layers align correctly as they are cut. 5. Following Laser Cutting - For Plywood: Wipe smoke marks away with a slightly damp rag. Apply the wood stain or dye. 6. Assemble the Layers - Align the layers carefully to ensure proper alignment of the design. - Use appropriate adhesives: - Wood Glue for plywood. - Use clamps to secure the layers while the adhesive dries. - A gloss spray enhances and protects the artwork for plywood. 7. Prepare for Wall Mounting - As the artwork is heavy, take it to a professional service and get advice about how to place it on your wall. Alternatively, place it on a shelf where it will lean against a wall. Congratulations on completing your The Last Supper! Hang it in your chosen spot and admire the beautiful craftsmanship.
